| Hello and welcome to my website!
I'm a self taught artist and live in a small town (a small pile of humans would be more descriptive) about 30 minutes from Vienna, Austria. I grew up and lived in Vienna for about 35 years, but life led me to the country (the towns kept getting smaller and smaller with every move). I miss city life immensely, especially the anonymity. Alas, as I married (second marriage) a country boy, I'm trying hard to be happy with occasional visits to the city. My favorite art to create, what comes naturally to me, is abstract work. Lately I find myself exploring a more figurative, stylistic way of working, which I enjoy too. I use acrylic paint and my work has become more and more mixed media over the years. I have tried most materials (except oils, they scare me), some with more success than others. What drives my work is, well, my soul. I seem to work through everything that happened or happens to me with my paints and brushes. The well seems to never run dry and I'm very thankful for that. I do think it's my therapy and I'm convinced I would have become mad a long time ago without painting. A couple of days without it puts me on the edge and the always lingering depression becomes frightening very fast. So I do what I must.
