January

By Ursula in Life

I don’t want it. I admit it looks beautiful, but I hate driving on snow roads. Is it March yet – please?

P.S. If I don’t have to use the car and am safely home, there isn’t anything better than a fire in the wood stove, a cup of coffee in hand, looking out the window, painting and, the most important thing in this scenario, listening to Carole King’s Tapestry album. If you haven’t tried it, do, and you’ll know what I mean.

Ursula, I’ve not heard that album yet. I think I may have to get it. As it happens, I’m unemployed this winter, so I get to sit and watch the snow all day if I want (there’s snow on the ground here in upper New Brunswick, Canada, 5 or 6 months of the year).
I’m glad you have a blog as I’ve kinda lost touch with my old friends in our group, with the sudden influx of newbies. Are you doing a quiltlet for AAQI?

Hi Wendy, thank you for leaving a comment! :) Oh I hope you get to listen to the album, old, but good – and iconic. I’m showing my age here. ;) I feel for you, 5 or 6 months with snow on the ground! Ack! I’m painting like a mad woman these days, I’m afraid I haven’t planned a quiltlet for AAQI, maybe later this year. Are you going to make one?
